For under 18’s
I am happy to provide a free 10 minute ‘chemistry’ call. If therapy is to take place the next step would be to arrange an assessment with the parent/s/carer/s. This allows me to ascertain if your child/adolescent is suitable for therapy and obtain a thorough history and understanding of thier current challenges. If I believe that another professional would suit your child/adolescent needs better, I will offer that recommendation. This can be arranged in person or online. This session is 60 minutes and the fee is £100.
Child/Adolescent sessions
Therapy is most effective when it is scheduled once a week at an agreed day and time.
Please note that I do not work with any private health care providers. Fees must be paid before the session (if an online transfer) or by cash at the end of the session.
it is intrinsic that a trusting relationship develops and exists between the therapist and the child/adolescent. Privacy is especially important in securing and maintaining that trust. One goal of treatment is to promote a stronger and better relationship between children/adolescents and their parents. However, it is often necessary for children/adolescents to develop a “zone of privacy” whereby they feel free to discuss personal matters with greater freedom. This is particularly true for adolescents who are naturally developing a greater sense of independence and autonomy.
During – You are welcome to sit in your car or leave and return within 50 minutes while your child/adolescent is in a session.
After – It is beneficial to allow your child/adolescent to only tell you about the session if they want to, without feeling pressurised to do so.
As part of my professional accreditation and ethical good practice I have a duty to pass on any concerns regarding Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Fees: Each session is £100.00 and fees are to be paid in advance or directly after each session.
I require 48 hours cancellation notice period or charges will still apply.
